JTB (President: Hiroyuki Takahashi) will be running the "Japan's Season: Northern Kanto" campaign from October 1st to the end of March 2019 in Ibaraki, Tochigi, and Gunma prefectures. The Japan's Season has been running since 1998 with the theme of "Rediscovering the Charm of Japan". It is a company-wide campaign aimed at revitalizing domestic travel, with the aim of unearthing the seasonal charms of each region and stimulating travel demand. The catchphrase for Northern Kanto is "Five Colors of Abundance: Three Impressive Countries You'll Want to Visit Again." "Five Colors of Abundance" is a reference to the abundance of five grains. The campaign will focus on the attractions of the area, such as nature, historical cultural assets, food culture nurtured in the Kanto Plain, and hot springs. For individuals, the lineup includes autumn foliage products such as an early morning cruise on Lake Chuzenji in Tochigi Prefecture to view the autumn leaves, and a mini guided hike to the spectacular Ichinokurazawa in Gunma Prefecture. Original products are also available for groups, such as a tour of the Yamba Dam construction site. Sunrise tours for inbound tourists are also available. During this period, we will focus on attracting customers to the northern Kanto area.
