Hankyu Travel International (President: Seiji Matsuda) began a popularity poll for its tours on February 5th, titled the "HSK70 General Election." The event was held to commemorate the company's 70th anniversary, and targeted tours themed on "happiness" in the three Hokuriku prefectures that rank highly in the "happiness ranking." It is a unique initiative that pledges to give special benefits to those who win first place in the vote. The company also held a general election last October for its crab bus tour "HKB" from Kansai. The three tour planners are promoting the product they would like to participate in as their best product, and participants are asked to vote online for the product they would like to participate in, and depending on the results, extra benefits will be added to the tour benefits. This time, "HSK70" stands for Hokuriku, happiness, the three prefectures, and the 70th anniversary of the company's founding. The company has tied up with JR West and the three prefectures of Fukui, Toyama, and Ishikawa, and has set the total travel cost for two people to 70,000 yen since the 70th anniversary. The main point of the project is to get to the bottom of the "secrets of happiness" of Fukui, Toyama, and Ishikawa prefectures, which ranked high in the "47 Prefectures Happiness Ranking" announced by the Japan Research Institute. The courses were created with Awara Onsen as the "hot spring" for Fukui, the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route as the "breathtaking scenery" for Toyama, and seafood from Oku-Noto as the "seafood" for Ishikawa, as the main "happiness." The special gift for the first place winner is "mizu yokan" for Fukui, "masu sushi" for Toyama, and "Wajima lacquer chopsticks" for Ishikawa. The tour went on sale on February 5th, and departure dates are April-July. Voting can be done on the website that appears when you search for "Hankyu Travel International HSK70." The voting period is until February 20th, the day the products go on sale, and the results will be announced on March 5th. Voting status can be checked on the website.
