The 2018 Annual General Meeting of the General Incorporated Association Osaka Travel Industry Association (Chairman Yoshimura Minoru, Kanki Travel Service) was held on June 5th at the Swissotel Nankai Osaka in Chuo-ku, Osaka City. The meeting decided to amend the articles of incorporation to include travel service arrangers, which were newly established in accordance with the amendment to the Travel Industry Law that came into effect in January this year, as cooperating members. 68 people attended. Regarding the 2018 business, the association will actively participate in the campaign to send 30,000 visitors to Kochi Prefecture, which was announced at the Domestic Tourism Revitalization Forum held in February, and will encourage members to take regular training for travel business managers. Business plans for the general affairs department, accounting department, and business department were also adopted. The articles of incorporation were amended to include travel service arrangers as cooperating members, and the annual membership fee, which is 60,000 yen, including the head office membership fee. Next, the 12th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of Osaka Zenryo (Representative Director Okamoto Hiroshi, Nippon Travel Service) was also held. The company recorded a net profit of 1.46 million yen for the fiscal year from leaflet delivery services, product sales, and shareholder dividends from Zenryo Co., Ltd. President Okamoto said, "We were in the black again this fiscal year, and were able to present our shareholders with commemorative gifts as a form of sales promotion and PR, just like last year. We would like to continue our business this year so that our shareholders will be happy." Furthermore, Chairman Yoshimura, who spoke at a joint social gathering co-hosted with the Osaka Zenryo Association (Chairman Nishimura Hajime = Nishimuraya), said, "Osaka will host the Rugby World Cup and G20 Summit in 2019, and the World Expo and IR project will take shape in 2025.
