Aichi Prefecture's Meihan Kintetsu Travel is recruiting tours to Shimane Prefecture, which suffered reputational damage from the heavy rains in Western Japan in July. The tours have attracted more than 1,000 people in about a month since they went on sale in September, and are a popular part of the tourism recovery. The tours made use of the bus travel product creation support system independently supported by Shimane Prefecture. Initially, they considered using the Japan Tourism Agency's recovery support system "Recovery Tour Discount," but they decided that the system would be difficult to use immediately because it would require bus tours of more than two nights. They realized a tour that could attract people. The set period is from October to February 2019, and as an added value to the long-distance tour from Nagoya to Shimane Prefecture, the wide bus introduced in May of this year was used in some parts. Comfort was ensured. Since it led to the attraction of more than 1,000 people, they are considering extending the set period beyond February next year. The company has secured the procurement of 300 buses during the period, and expects to transport 180 buses and 6,000 people with a 60% operation rate. "We would like to continue this tour somehow to increase the number of tourists to Shimane Prefecture even after the off-season in February," he said. The tour being recruited this time is titled "Sanin Golden Route and Matsue Lake Shinji Onsen," and on the first day, the tour will travel from four locations, including Nagoya and Owari Ichinomiya, along the Shin-Meishin and Chugoku Expressways, and have lunch in Okayama. After visiting the Adachi Museum of Art, the tour will stay the night at Matsue Lake Shinji Onsen. The next day, the tour will pass through the Folklore Museum, Izumo Tourist Center, Izumo Taisha Shrine, and then visit Daikon Island and Yushien Gardens before having lunch. The tour will stop at Sakaiminato's Tairyo Market Nakaura and sweets shop Kotobukijo before returning via the Chugoku Expressway and Shin-Meishin Expressway. Tour prices start from 23,000 yen per person.
