On April 26, Rakuten Travel announced the ranking of prefectures with increasing popularity based on the growth rate of the number of nights booked during Golden Week (April 27-May 5) compared to the same period last year. First place goes to Fukui Prefecture, where the Hokuriku Shinkansen was extended to Tsuruga in March. The results clearly show the effect of the extension. First place goes to Fukui Prefecture, which has improved access from the Kanto region with the extension of the Hokuriku Shinkansen from Fukui to Tsuruga. It has increased by more than 1.2 times compared to the same period last year. Areas around stations where the Shinkansen has opened, such as Tsuruga Station and Fukui Station, are doing well. There is also the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum, which was renovated and reopened last summer, and the number of trips with children is increasing. Second place goes to Nagasaki Prefecture. In particular, the area around Huis Ten Bosch is doing well, with a growth rate of about 1.3 times compared to the same period last year. Across the prefecture, two men and one woman, and trips with children are doing well. Third place goes to Nara Prefecture, which has the highest increase in inbound reservations of all prefectures. It is followed by Ibaraki Prefecture and Hiroshima Prefecture in fourth place. The rankings were compiled on April 17th.
