HIS (President: Yata Motofumi, HIS) recently signed an agreement with Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture (Mayor: Saito Sakae) to promote inbound tourism. The aim is to increase the number of visitors by promoting the city to overseas and planning tours. Atami City is consistently popular with domestic travelers, but compared to other hot spring areas, it has traditionally struggled to attract visitors from overseas. In response to this, the agreement has led to a partnership to promote inbound tourism and create a related population. The agreement covers collaboration on the following issues: discovery and polishing of local content through tourism personnel exchanges, dissemination of tourism information about the city through HIS's overseas corporations, planning and sales of inbound tours, and safety measures and tourism crisis management for accepting inbound travelers. First, the city will begin with dispatching personnel from Taiwan as a key city and promoting the city. In the future, the city will sell inbound tours that involve the Atami City Marine Fireworks Festival, which will be held from October to December.
