The Osaka Prefecture Association of Travel Agents (Chairman Tokuhara Masakazu, OATA) and the OATA Liaison Council (Chairman Ando Motokazu) recently held a networking event with Zenryo Kyushu Okinawa (Chairman Tokunaga Masanori) and the Reception Cooperation Association Kuokikai (Chairman Hida Masahiko) at the OATA Conference Room in OCAT, Naniwa-ku, Osaka. OATA formed a partnership with Zenryo Kyushu Okinawa last year to expand the business of the OATA Liaison Council, which is organized by reception facilities. Travel agencies affiliated with Zenryo Kyushu Okinawa will make local arrangements through the information desks of OATA Liaison Council members, with the aim of expanding the sales channels of Kyushu travel agencies and increasing arrangements for the OATA Liaison Council. The networking event was attended by all directors, including the three executives, and the representative of the Liaison Council from OATA, and by Zenryo Kyushu Okinawa, Chairman Tokunaga, Advisor Ikeda Takaaki, and Chairman Hida of the Reception Cooperation Association Kuokikai. At the meeting, President Tokuhara reported, "Since last year, I have been discussing with Advisor Ikeda (then Chairman) the future of the cooperative, and we have agreed that Kyushu and Osaka will build a cooperative relationship and carry out activities for the members. With the appointment of new Chairman Tokunaga in June this year, we have decided to hold this exchange meeting." He announced that as a first step, a file listing OATA Liaison Council members was sent to the affiliated members of Zenryo Kyushu Okinawa, and they confirmed that they will continue to deepen mutual exchange and develop together. President Tokunaga praised OATA for its active activities with over 100 members and 2,000 Liaison Council members, saying, "For us, OATA is a pioneer and a goal. Our members are very happy with the file that was sent to us this time. We will make active use of it." After this, President Ando expressed his hopes for the strengthening of the cooperative system from his own perspective, saying, "I hope this collaboration will progress further," Advisor Ikeda stated, "We would like to expand the cooperative activities by following OATA's example," and President Hida stated, "We would like to ask OATA to help us send customers to Kyushu."
