On January 18, JTB (President: Hiroyuki Takahashi) began selling products for the first half of fiscal year 2019 for its domestic travel package tour "Ace JTB." The company will develop products that focus on hot topics such as "10-day Golden Week holiday," "Japan's seasonal" national parks, and popular theme parks. The big topic for the travel industry in the first half of this year is the 10-day Golden Week holiday. Ace's total bookings from April 27 to May 6 are at an all-time high, with long-distance destinations such as Hokkaido, Kyushu, and Okinawa being particularly popular. In addition to offering products at more affordable prices for departures in the first half of Golden Week than those in the second half, the company will develop products that are unique to Golden Week in various areas. On February 18, the company will also release a Golden Week-only plan departing from the Tokyo metropolitan area to celebrate the change of era to the new era in Ise. The setting for the first half of the year (April to September) of JTB Group's domestic campaign "Japan's seasonal" is "national parks." The Ministry of the Environment is promoting national parks across the country as destinations, and by combining nature, local culture and cuisine, the company is promoting their appeal as travel destinations. Plans will be set up with eight main locations, including Akan Mashu, Nikko, Ise-Shima and Daisen-Oki. Theme park products will again focus on stress-free travel with priority entry and other features, and will offer an expanded range of plans to suit various usage patterns, such as for those with children or early park entry. In addition, original plans will be set up in Hokkaido, Tohoku, Tokyo, Kyushu and other areas. With a lineup that focuses on what is unique to JTB, the company will propose new ways to spend time in the regions.
