KNT-CT Holdings' total travel transaction value in May was 30.666 billion yen, down 29.9% from 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic. It was up 10.3% from the previous year. Domestic travel was down 29.4% from the previous year, but up 1.7% from the previous year to 20.318 billion yen. Domestic group transactions increased 19.7% from the previous year due to an increase in transactions for large corporate conventions and workplace trips. Student group transactions increased 10.7% from the previous year due to an increase in school trips and orientations. Package tours were down 3.8% from the previous year. Products to the Kansai and Kyushu regions were sluggish. Overseas travel was down 47.0% from the previous year, but up 97.8% from the previous year to 4.46 billion yen. General group transactions increased 16.3% from the previous year due to transactions for workplace trips, family trips, and sports event expeditions. The number of student groups was at the same level as the previous year, but the increase in the number of people handled meant that it was up 26.6% from the previous year, and the total for groups was up 17.1% from the previous year. Package tours were up 194.6% from the previous year. Travel to Japan was up 69.2% from the previous year, and up 26.2% from the previous year to 2.998 billion yen. Related products etc. were up 2.0% from the previous year, and down 66.1% from the previous year to 707 million yen. The transaction amount is the combined total of Kinki Nippon Tourist, Kinki Nippon Tourist Blue Planet, Club Tourism, United Tours and KNT Shoji.
