On November 16th, the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA, Chairman Tagawa Hiroki) announced that it would reimburse 3.5% of the amount paid per person in response to claims made by Terumi Club, a travel agency that went bankrupt in March of this year. There were 10,643 claims, totaling approximately 3.42 billion yen in travel expenses. Applications were accepted from September, and the Reimbursement Committee reviewed the claims on October 31st. As a result, the entire amount claimed was recognized as a claim. As the company's reimbursement limit is 120 million yen, the ratio of the claim total to the total amount claimed is 3.5%. This will be refunded in pro rata installments around the end of December.
