The Nara Prefecture Travel Industry Association (Chairman Yoshikazu Nakagawa, Holiday Plan) held its 2018 general meeting on May 17th at Hotel Regale Kasugano in Nara City. Chairman Nakagawa began by saying, "I would like to thank everyone for their participation in the Domestic Tourism Revitalization Forum held in Kochi Prefecture in February," and added, "We would like to continue to work to demonstrate the presence of Nara Prefecture's small travel industry association, focusing on the activities of the three committees: General Affairs and Public Relations, Business, and Tourism Town Development." The association has set up committees for General Affairs and Public Relations, Business, and Tourism Town Development, and members must belong to one of the committees and be involved in the management of the association. The activities of the three committees this year are: General Affairs and Public Relations: promoting participation in various training sessions, improving the website, and promoting member use; Business: holding study sessions and participating in the 14th Domestic Tourism Revitalization Forum and Local Travel Expo; Tourism Town Development: considering holding "Local Travel Material Discovery Training" in the prefecture and promoting the development of destination-based products. Among the Zenryo Coupon Award winners were Royal Tourist and Hamakanko Service in the high transaction category, and Item (Ikoma Tourist), Nara Smile Kanko, and Takada Kotsu in the year-on-year increase category. This was followed by the general meeting of the Nara Prefecture Travel Industry Association, which decided to (1) develop products, research, and training for members, (2) utilize and promote Zenryo products, and (3) promote seminars on the Serious Accident Support System. At the general meeting of the Nara Prefecture Travel Industry Association Cooperation Association (chairman Naka Takashi), it was decided that the following activities for this year will be (1) convene a board meeting three times a year, (2) hold business meetings to strengthen cooperation between receiving members and sending members and to sell planned products, (3) implement a campaign to promote membership in the cooperative association, and (4) implement the 10th Duck and Green Onion Sending Campaign (target of 1,000 people).
