Nippon Travel Agency (President: Yoshimitsu Koyano) and Yomiuri Travel (President: Takashi Sadahiro) will be selling the "Awara Onsen Festival" in Awara Onsen, Fukui Prefecture, in November as the first of their collaborative products. The event will be held in conjunction with the Hokuriku Destination Campaign (DC), and will include lodgings using the Hokuriku Shinkansen. The aim is to attract visitors to Awara during the DC period. The product was set up based on the comprehensive business partnership agreement that the two companies concluded in 2019. With the cooperation of JR West and Awara Onsen, the event will be held as part of the Hokuriku DC. At the facility adjacent to Awara Onsen Station, there will be welcome events such as the local staple "manju-maki," a performance by Awara Onsen geisha, a welcome by Awara City's official mascot "Yumeguri Gonzo," and the distribution of novelty goods. There will also be a "hot spring tour" experience at each inn. The product will include travel by the Hokuriku Shinkansen and lodgings at Awara Onsen. Nippon Travel Agency will sell escort plans for Otonabi and Zipangu members departing from and arriving in Kansai, and individual plans departing from and arriving in the Tokyo metropolitan area, Kansai, Chubu, and Hokuriku regions, while Yomiuri Travel Agency will sell group plans departing from and arriving in the Kanto, Kansai, and Chugoku regions. Departure dates are November 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Travel prices start from 53,800 yen for Tokyo departures and arrivals, and 37,400 yen for Osaka departures and arrivals.
