The Japan Oceangoing Passenger Ship Association (JOPA) is accepting entries for the "Cruise of the Year 2024" award, which recognizes outstanding cruise products, until November 1st. JOPA and Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA) member companies are invited to apply. The awards, which recognize travel agencies and shipping companies that have planned, developed, and implemented cruise travel products that have contributed to the expansion of the cruise market, are being awarded this year for the 14th time. A selection committee chaired by Ikeda Yoshiho, visiting professor at Osaka Public University and a regular columnist in Travel News at this newspaper, will review the entries and decide on the other awards, including the grand prize, the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Award. Eligible products are cruise products that have been or are scheduled to be conducted between January and the end of December this year. In addition to products, special awards will also be given to companies, local governments, organizations, and individuals who have contributed to the promotion of cruises and activities to attract cruise ships. Selection will take place on November 12th. The awards ceremony will be held on December 19th at the Kaiun Building in Hirakawacho, Tokyo. For more information,https://jopa.or.jp/?p=2318fart.
