On April 12, Princess Cruises announced the product outline of its 2019 Japan-departing cruises at a hotel in Tokyo, marking the seventh year since its launch. The Diamond Princess (115,875 tons) will be deployed throughout the year, and a total of 41 cruises will be operated from March 2019 to March 2020, the longest period to date. The 2019 operating schedule will be divided into two seasons, the first and the second, with 30 cruises on 22 routes departing from March 26 to November 4 in the first season. A total of 40 ports in seven countries will be visited, including the first ports of call at Takamatsu, Matsuyama, Miyakojima, Gamagori, Niigata, Himeji, Miyako, and Wakayama-Shimotsu. Specifically, in addition to resort cruises to Okinawa and Taiwan and popular standard courses to Hokkaido and Russia, new cruises to famous hot springs and the three most scenic spots of Japan, and cruises to pilgrimage sites in Japan have been introduced, creating a wide variety of courses. "Spring Famous Castle Tour and Ise and Korea 9 Days" departs Yokohama on April 3rd and visits famous castles all over Japan.
