HIS has compiled a list of booking trends for overseas trips and trips to Japan for the summer vacation (July 14th - September 30th). The usual popular destinations are as popular as ever. The increase in the supply of advertising seats is also having a major impact. The most popular overseas destination is Honolulu, Hawaii, which has been the No. 1 destination for the 10th consecutive year. It is popular for all occasions, including family trips, honeymoons, and girls' trips. In second place is Seoul, where the effect of the increase in LCCs is notable, in third place is Taipei, in fourth place is Guam, and in fifth place is Bali. In the ranking of places that are rapidly increasing in popularity, Uluru, formerly known as Ayers Rock, is No. 1 with a 431% increase over the previous year. There seems to be a lot of last-minute demand due to the ban on climbing the summit in October next year. In second place is Uzbekistan, which has direct round-trip charter flights in the summer, in third place is Istanbul, Turkey, in fourth place is Cairo, Egypt, and in fifth place is Casablanca, Morocco. Other destinations that are attracting attention include Russia, where the FIFA World Cup is being held. The most popular destinations for foreign tourists visiting Japan are Tokyo in first place, Osaka in second place, the Golden Route of Kyoto in third place, and Hokkaido in fourth place, with standard destinations remaining as popular as ever. In terms of overall trends, "Individual tourists from Europe often use JR passes to travel around World Heritage sites, with many stopping off at Kanazawa, Shirakawa-go, and the Atomic Bomb Dome in Hiroshima Prefecture," "The number of flights and group tours using Shizuoka Airport and Chubu Centrair International Airport are increasing for tourists from China," and "Demand from Southeast Asia is increasing for Hokkaido due to the launch of the Sapporo-Bangkok flight by Thai low-cost carrier Thai AirAsia X" (the company). The most popular one-day bus tours for tourists visiting Japan are "Mt. Fuji 5th Station and Lake Kawaguchi" (Yamanashi Prefecture), "Hakone Pirate Ship and Gotemba Outlet" (Kanagawa Prefecture and Shizuoka Prefecture), and "Furano Lavender" (Hokkaido).
