KNT-CT Holdings' total travel transaction value in April was 23,257 million yen, down 35.5% from 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic. It was up 17.1% from the previous year. Domestic travel was down 32.9% from the previous year, but up 8.7% from the previous year to 15,697 million yen. Domestic group transactions included large-scale corporate conventions and workplace trips, but were down 9.9% from the previous year. Student group transactions decreased for school trips, but increased for freshman orientations, resulting in a 2.5% decrease from the previous year. Package tours increased 23.7% from the previous year. Domestic theme-based products from Club Tourism were popular. Overseas travel was down 54.3% from the previous year, but up 91.8% from the previous year to 4,460 million yen. General group transactions included sports events, corporate training and inspections, and total solar eclipse tours, resulting in a 16.9% increase from the previous year. The number of student groups was on par with the previous year, but the increase in transaction amounts meant a 29.6% increase over the previous year, with the total for groups increasing by 21.6%. Package tours increased 351.5% over the previous year. Travel to Japan increased 5.4% over the previous year, and up 12.7% over the previous year to 2.217 billion yen. Related products increased 4.5% over the previous year, and down 21.4% over the previous year to 883 million yen. The transaction amount is the combined total of Kinki Nippon Tourist, Kinki Nippon Tourist Blue Planet, Club Tourism, United Tours and KNT Shoji.
