KNT-CT Holdings' total travel transaction volume in June was 29,117 million yen, up 3.7% from the previous year. It was down 32.0% compared to 2018, before the COVID-19 pandemic. Domestic travel was down 6.6% from the previous year, and down 27.3% from 2018, to 18,764 million yen. General group transactions increased 19.9% due to an increase in business trips and corporate conventions. Student group transactions increased for accommodation arrangements for sports tournaments and training with accommodation, but school trips decreased, resulting in an 11.8% decrease. Package tours decreased 6.7%. Free-type products such as those to Tokyo and the Kansai region were sluggish. Overseas travel increased 86.2% from the previous year, to 7,812 million yen, down 45.3% from 2018. General group transactions were incentives. An increase in business trips led to a 124.2% increase. The number of student groups increased but the number of people handled decreased, down 3.3% year on year, but the total for groups increased 98.6% year on year. Package tours increased 128.5% year on year. Inbound trips to Japan decreased 10.8% year on year, down 11.8% from 2018 to 1.53 billion yen. Related products decreased 50.7% year on year, up 2.5% from 2018 to 1.011 billion yen. The transaction amount is the combined total of Kinki Nippon Tourist, Kinki Nippon Tourist Blue Planet, Club Tourism, United Tours and KNT Shoji.
