Nippon Travel Agency (President: Yoshimitsu Koyano) announced its interim financial results for fiscal year 2024 (January to June) on August 30th. Consolidated sales were down 8.4% year on year to 97,084 million yen, gross profit was down 24.2% year on year to 21,156 million yen, operating profit was down 7,445 million yen year on year to 819 million yen, and ordinary profit was down 7,253 million yen year on year to 424 million yen. Net profit was down 4,799 million yen year on year to 709 million yen. Although the company managed to secure a profit, the figures were down significantly. Nippon Travel Agency's individual financial results showed sales down 8.5% year on year to 88,398 million yen, and gross profit was down 23.4% year on year to 18,419 million yen. Operating expenses increased 5.2% to 18,382 million yen, operating profit decreased 6,534 million yen from the previous term to 36 million yen, ordinary profit decreased 6,254 million yen from the previous term to 524 million yen, and net profit decreased 4,125 million yen from the previous term to 517 million yen. By division, the domestic travel division saw sales decrease 3.9% to 63,083 million yen and gross profit decrease 2.7% to 12,018 million yen. The international travel division saw sales increase 70.3% to 7,548 million yen and gross profit increase 55.1% to 1,401 million yen. The international travel division saw sales increase 25.9% to 11,647 million yen and gross profit increase 1.5% to 2,518 million yen. Sales for the contract business decreased 64.7% to 6.119 billion yen, and gross profit decreased 70.1% to 2.48 billion yen.
