On October 10, Tobu Top Tours reported the results of the "Yamagata Prefectural High School Bus Tour to Promote Acceptance of Students from Outside the Prefecture," which was conducted in July and August this year. The tour was commissioned by Yamagata Prefecture, which aims to revitalize prefectural high schools and the region, and was conducted to promote the appeal of prefectural high schools and the region, and to increase the number of students from outside the prefecture who wish to continue their studies. The tour was held in three areas, Okitama, Mogami, and Shonai, from July 30 to August 7, and 38 people from 19 groups participated, mainly from the Kanto region, including Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Saitama. In a survey conducted after the tour, many participants expressed positive opinions about continuing on to high schools in Yamagata Prefecture, and it was found that they had become more willing to consider high schools in Yamagata Prefecture as an option for further education, which was the purpose of the tour. Based on the results of this tour, Yamagata Prefecture is considering not only promoting students from outside the prefecture to continue their studies, but also developing a business with the aim of encouraging parents and families to move and settle there. Tobu Top Tours aims to promote the appeal of local high schools and to foster future tourism talent through initiatives such as the "Regional Future Travel," which combines tourism and education.
